- You must run a 2.6 version of the kernel. This is because Bongo requires NPTL support. Run "uname -r" at the command line to see what version you're running if you don't know.
- Are you running Xen? If you don't know the answer to that, you're probably not, but some virtual hosting setups (like Linode, Bytemark, etc.) use Xen. Bongo needs TLS enabled to run under Xen. Run "uname -a" at the command line - if this affects you, it will usually (but not always!) have "xenU" in there somewhere.
